
Senior Distribution Manager – Bioprocessing Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Accountable for the development, management, and optimization of indirect sales channels by fostering robust relationships with third-party partners (such as distributors, resellers, and marketplaces).
• Propels revenue growth through strategic distributor recruitment, enablement, performance management, and compliance oversight.
• Takes ownership of the regional distributor strategy for designated countries/territories, ensuring that distributors achieve established sales targets, service levels, forecasting accuracy, and operational benchmarks.
• Collaborates extensively with the Head of Distributor Management, Sales, Marketing, SMEs, and Service teams to maintain a scalable, high-performing distributor network.
• Formulates and implements regional distribution sales strategies aimed at enhancing market penetration and driving revenue growth.
• Identifies and aligns distributor targets, KPIs, and expectations in partnership with the Head of DM.
• Oversees sales delivery and forecasting for assigned distributors, ensuring both transparency and accuracy.
• Guarantees optimal stock levels at distributor warehouses to prevent overstocking and supply chain disruptions.
• Recruits, assesses, and contracts new distributors in accordance with the regional strategy.
• Plans, organizes, and manages distributor training and enablement initiatives, covering product knowledge, application, sales processes, and compliance training.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (such as Bioengineering or a related field); an advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical sector, demonstrating a proven history of driving revenue and profit growth in complex sales environments.
• Strong comprehension of customer requirements, the competitive landscape, and market dynamics within the drug discovery, drug manufacturing/QC, and cell & gene therapy segments of biotech/biopharma.
• Proven success in leading and cultivating high-performing global sales teams, including talent development, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Exceptional core sales skills (prospecting, funnel management, closing, consultative and technical selling, creating customer value, and delivering impactful sales presentations).
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, presentation, and public speaking abilities, with a proven effectiveness across diverse audiences.
• Capability to collaborate effectively across departments and with international teams, including Executive Leadership; a strong record of successful cross-functional partnerships.
• Willingness and capacity to travel throughout North America approximately 30% of the time to fulfill business objectives.
• Proficiency in Portuguese is an advantage.
