📋 Description

• As a Senior Distinguished Engineer at Capital One, you will join a community of technical experts dedicated to shaping the future of cloud payments.

• You will serve as a trusted advisor for essential technologies, platforms, and capability domains.

• Communicate and promote an ambitious technical vision across various domains and mission-critical platforms.

• Collaborate with executive leaders in business, product, and technology sectors to guide strategic investments and make high-impact technical decisions.

• Manage multiple concurrent engagements, swiftly transitioning between detailed technical solutions and broader strategic initiatives to enhance value creation.

• Drive technology-driven innovation among engineers and executives, coaching teams and mentoring individuals to improve technical expertise across engineering, business, and product divisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree

• A minimum of 9 years of experience in software engineering

• At least 7 years of experience in designing distributed systems

• A minimum of 7 years of experience with public cloud technologies

• 12+ years of experience in Software Engineering and Systems Design (Preferred)

• 10+ years of professional coding experience in commonly used programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Swift, etc.) (Preferred)

• 10+ years of professional experience across the entire system development lifecycle, from conception through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational production (Preferred)

• Over 7 years of experience with systems that meet high performance and resiliency standards (Preferred)

• 8+ years of experience with public or private cloud technologies (Preferred)

• Experience in payments, money movement, and associated standards (e.g., PCI-DSS) (Preferred)

• Familiarity with leveraging interactive AI tools to enhance productivity, utilizing capabilities beyond basic code completion (Preferred)
