
Senior Director/VP, Strategic Account Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-achieving team of Strategic Account Managers.
• Develop and implement account strategies aimed at enhancing retention, growth, adoption, and long-term customer value.
• Enhance executive relationships with customers and establish Everbridge as a reliable resilience partner.
• Spot growth opportunities and work alongside Account Executives to broaden existing accounts.
• Create scalable playbooks, campaigns, and training programs to bolster solution-selling capabilities.
• Act as the executive sponsor for key accounts, facilitating renewals, negotiations, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and Professional Services to provide an outstanding customer experience.
• Oversee account, pipeline, territory, and forecast reviews; offer coaching and eliminate obstacles to success.
• Provide accurate forecasts and communicate performance metrics, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the market, Everbridge solutions, and competitive advantages.
• Meet or surpass retention, growth, and overall performance targets.
• Sustain a retention rate of 96% or higher, boost revenue, and enhance adoption of the Everbridge platform.
• Over 15 years of experience in enterprise software sales, account management, or related commercial roles.
• More than 10 years of successful leadership experience within a SaaS sales or account management environment.
• Demonstrated history of improving retention, expanding strategic accounts, and meeting revenue goals.
• Proven ability to recruit, coach, and maintain high-performing teams.
• Strong executive presence with the capacity to forge trusted relationships across complex organizations.
• Proficient in consultative selling, account planning, opportunity development, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.
• Proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30–40% of the time.
• Experience in critical communications, telecommunications, business continuity, disaster recovery, resilience, security, or related technologies is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, marketing, communications, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
