
Senior Director, Tier 1, Tier 2 CSP Marketing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership of the solution-level positioning and messaging strategy for Calix products aimed at Tier 1 and Tier 2 service providers.
• Create distinct solution narratives that connect Calix capabilities with the priorities of Tier 1 and 2, encompassing scale, operational efficiency, service velocity, platform alignment, and long-term ROI.
• Act as the principal solution marketing leader for significant account pursuits, which include strategic account initiatives, C-suite briefings, analyst interactions, and major RFPs.
• Maintain consistency, quality, and strategic alignment of solution messaging across various teams, regions, and customer interactions.
• Oversee engagement with the entire Tier 1 decision-maker ecosystem, including Network Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Product, IT/OSS/BSS, Security, Procurement, Finance, and Executive Leadership.
• Develop persona frameworks and value propositions that demonstrate how technical depth translates into business and executive outcomes.
• Review, guide, and enhance executive-level and technical solution materials created by the team.
• Lead the team in designing and implementing account-based and field marketing initiatives that effectively engage Tier 1 and Tier 2 decision makers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Strategic Accounts, Sales Engineering, and Marketing to ensure solution messaging aligns with account strategies and pipeline priorities.
• Serve as an escalation point and strategic advisor for crucial Tier 1 customer interactions.
• Exhibit profound technical credibility while ensuring that messaging remains focused on outcomes and business relevance.
• Guide the team in accurately reflecting the real-world Tier 1 evaluation, procurement, and deployment processes within solution narratives.
• Manage Tier 1 and 2 solution marketing contributions to new product and solution introductions.
• Ensure that structured market feedback from Tier 1 and 2 engagements informs product strategy, roadmap decisions, and investment priorities.
• Mentor and develop solution marketers, enhancing their technical fluency, storytelling abilities, and executive engagement skills.
• Over 10 years of experience in Marketing leadership roles, including Solutions Marketing, Product Marketing, Technical Marketing, Field Marketing, Service Provider Product Management, or a similar field.
• Direct experience in selling to, marketing to, or working within larger service providers, or a significant vendor catering to larger providers.
• Strong technical knowledge of broadband technologies, including access, Wi-Fi, cloud platforms, and managed services, with the capability to effectively communicate with both technical and business audiences.
• Familiarity with disaggregated broadband architectures, open ecosystems (with a focus on experience with prpl), and managed services business models.
• Proven understanding of the buying processes for Tier 1 and Tier 2, including how solutions are evaluated, selected, integrated, and deployed.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Tier 1 and Tier 2 tools and systems, and awareness of potential integration points.
• Proven track record of collaborating closely with Sales teams to support complex, high-value opportunities.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, including experience engaging with executive-level audiences.
• This role may be eligible for a bonus as part of the total compensation package.
