This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the R&D and GTM FP&A functions, playing a pivotal role in establishing how the team collaborates across the organization while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders to influence and quantify crucial business decisions.
• Develop, manage, and enhance the process for defining the business impact of significant R&D and GTM investments, ensuring alignment between necessary investments, operational objectives, and financial goals.
• Collaborate with senior leaders in R&D and GTM to offer financial insights and scenario analyses that support strategic initiatives, resource allocation, and investment decisions by utilizing a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, unit economics, and growth strategies.
• Create strong operational and financial models for major projects to assist teams in quantifying ROI and evaluating trade-offs between growth and profitability.
• Lead financial projects across departments and foster alignment between R&D and GTM regarding budgeting, resource planning, and strategic objectives.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators and productivity metrics within R&D and GTM functions, spearheading performance measurement initiatives to promote accountability and transparency.
• Recruit, mentor, and coach other finance team members, nurturing a high-performance, collaborative, and data-driven culture. Design scalable team structures, workflows, and governance models that support business growth while ensuring a high level of quality.
• Identify and initiate opportunities to utilize AI-based tools to optimize existing processes, forecasting, and other analytical tasks.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (MBA, CFA, CA, or equivalent advanced qualification in Finance, Economics, or Business).
• 15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy at a high-growth tech company, including a minimum of 5+ years in leadership or management roles; experience in public companies is advantageous.
• Exceptional ability to convey narratives through data and analysis, simplifying complex topics and trade-offs into a framework that influences decision-making; outstanding communication and presentation skills; experience engaging with executive teams, board members, and investors.
• Strong business partnering abilities with both financial and non-financial leaders; proven track record of advising on operational and financial enhancements across various business areas.
• Capacity to operate at various levels—immersed in details and also grasping the bigger picture—with keen awareness of when to apply each perspective to achieve desired outcomes.
• Advanced modeling expertise, including a solid understanding of bottoms-up financial modeling and linking unit economics to overall business impacts.
• In-depth knowledge of SaaS and usage-based business models and metrics; experience within the SMB market is a plus.
• Capability to tackle ambiguous questions or situations, pinpoint key variables, and drive towards successful outcomes.
• A proactive disposition, strong work ethic, and a player-coach mentality with experience in achieving operational results under tight deadlines.
• Extensive experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, etc.), AI tools, and BI tools; a proven record of leveraging AI to enhance forecasting methodologies or improve processes.
