This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish the long-term strategic vision and operational structure for the Government Systems Business Unit.
• Lead prime contract acquisition and oversee the business unit's budget and P&L to ensure ongoing growth and success in mission objectives.
• Oversee the complete Go-to-Market strategy specifically designed for government agencies and defense partners.
• Identify and secure high-value opportunities within tactical and special communications fields.
• Manage the business unit's financial resources to promote sustainable growth and successful mission outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to steer the development of dual-use technologies that meet government security standards.
• Represent Skylo in high-stakes interactions with government officials and industry organizations to shape emerging NTN standards.
• Propel the adoption of 5G and D2D satellite solutions across a variety of government applications.
• Navigate intricate procurement and regulatory landscapes to expedite contract approvals and service implementation.
• Build and lead a cross-functional team of specialists focused on the government sector.
• Address systemic uncertainties between commercial product strategies and specific technical requirements of government entities.
• Proven experience in developing and leading business units centered on government tactical or special communications.
• Demonstrated success in executing Go-to-Market strategies for dual-use technology products, emphasizing the competitive edge of merging commercial innovation with government-specific needs.
• Technical proficiency in 5G, D2D, or advanced cellular networking protocols.
• Familiarity with satellite communications and space-based technology frameworks.
• Ability to convert complex technical capabilities into actionable mission outcomes for government stakeholders.
• An engineering degree or a robust technical background suitable for close collaboration with R&D teams.
• Experience working in both military and commercial business contexts.
• Active TS/SCI clearance or the capability to obtain one.
