This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee utility and interconnection strategies for intricate customer projects, including large-load, utility-scale, and enterprise initiatives.
• Assess tailored interconnection pathways, utility prerequisites, and implications for market participation.
• Identify significant cost, schedule, and technical risks that could impact project feasibility.
• Formulate or coordinate alternative operational, engineering, and interconnection strategies.
• Assist in the transition toward larger opportunities and projects exceeding 10 MW, including those that cross ISO, transmission, or utility boundaries.
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders regarding power systems behavior, controls, grid interaction, and compliance matters.
• Facilitate utility, transmission, and relevant NERC preparedness for large-scale initiatives.
• Design and enhance repeatable interconnection workflows in Jira and associated systems like Procore.
• Transition from manual and spreadsheet-based tracking to verifiable workflow structures.
• Develop reusable guidance, templates, and internal reference documentation.
• Create organized repositories for utility documents, links, meeting notes, and requirements utilizing Google Workspace.
• Assist in defining AI-supported tools for reporting and customer-facing outputs while ensuring human oversight and information-security measures.
• Act as a strategic collaborator across Sales, Interconnection, PM, PE, Controls, and other departments.
• Convert technical and regulatory concerns into actionable insights for commercial, delivery, and leadership stakeholders.
• Contribute to a scalable operational model for utility and interconnection assistance.
• Utilize mechanical expertise to construct advanced generator components and assemblies.
• Inspect test units and document results for the engineering team.
• Implement enhancements to boost safety and efficiency.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in electric interconnection; gas interconnection experience is a plus.
• High degree of independence and experience in scaling and automating programs.
• Background in distributed generation, utility interconnection, and project development related to utility-facing energy projects.
• Capability to support complex interconnection pathways that involve market participation, utility studies, protection requirements, or transmission-scale factors.
• Familiarity with dynamics of larger-site or utility-scale projects and higher megawatt thresholds.
• Working knowledge of utility, compliance, controls, and customer expectations on sophisticated projects.
• Proven experience in designing or refining workflows, operational processes, templates, or systems that facilitate scalability across teams.
• Strong written communication skills to produce customer-ready guidance, internal frameworks, and structured documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence without relying solely on formal authority.
• Comfort with using workflow systems, structured knowledge repositories, and AI-assisted drafting tools within company policy constraints.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
