Senior Director, Retail FP&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +25 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead Merchandise Finance in a prominent role, reporting directly to the CFO.

• Collaborate with the Chief Merchandising Officer, Chief Growth Officer, and Chief Operating Officer.

• Design, develop, and implement Spreetail’s retail merchandise strategy.

• Oversee FP&A for Merchandise/Retail, Channels & Business Development, and Marketing.

• Monitor weekly performance against targets and ensure accountability within teams.

• Determine key KPIs and create reports that highlight business drivers and trends.

• Promote actionable business decisions based on financial insights.

• Build, nurture, and inspire a team of around five FP&A managers and analysts.

• Enhance the team's processes and tools as the business expands.

• Utilize SQL for data extraction and structuring analyses.

• Engage directly with financial models, data, and presentations as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in business, finance, or accounting.

• 5+ years of experience leading FP&A teams.

• Preferably, a proven history of building and scaling teams of five or more.

• Experience in retail, ecommerce, or merchandise finance.

• Background in supporting multiple business lines or P&Ls, including retail/merchandise, marketing, and channel/business development.

• Proficient SQL skills with the ability to work independently with data.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Experience with BI tools.

• Proven experience in presenting to and influencing C-suite executives.

• Strong project management abilities.

• Capability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
