
Senior Director, R&D Venture Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee cross-functional initiatives across early-stage ventures, collaborating with engineering, data science, commercial, legal, privacy, compliance, and operations teams.
• Organize and facilitate client working sessions, discovery discussions, pilot evaluations, and executive touchpoints to foster trust, alignment, and progress.
• Convert venture strategy, customer insights, and vision into actionable priorities, roadmaps, operating plans, and measurable results.
• Clarify customer challenges, validate assumptions, define MVPs, develop discovery plans, and ensure teams remain focused on user, customer, and business value.
• Design and implement streamlined venture operating systems, including planning rhythms, build evaluations, milestone tracking, launch preparedness, risk assessments, and executive reporting.
• Establish clarity in uncertain situations by identifying the right questions, structuring decisions, and assisting teams in advancing without unnecessary processes.
• Support teams in adopting contemporary working methods, such as customer discovery, rapid learning loops, agile delivery, disciplined experimentation, prototyping, and continuous enhancement.
• Identify risks, dependencies, resource limitations, and ambiguous ownership early on, then facilitate practical solutions.
• Possess 10 or more years of experience leading complex projects in product-led, technology-driven, consulting, innovation, or venture-building settings.
• Have served as a product operations leader, product strategy head, chief of staff, strategic program manager, venture operator, business operations leader, or senior cross-functional execution manager.
• Have managed client-facing workstreams and can effectively translate client feedback into product, pilot, and go-to-market strategies.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in discovery, strategy, design tradeoffs, prioritization, MVP definition, launch readiness, experimentation, and success metrics.
• Capable of bringing structure to ambiguity without fostering bureaucracy, smoothly transitioning between strategic and detailed tasks.
• Exhibit executive presence, possess a low ego, and have the ability to influence senior stakeholders without needing to control every decision.
• Strong candidates may also have experience in healthcare, healthcare technology, data, analytics, AI, enterprise software, consulting, or other regulated sectors.
• Have experience supporting zero-to-one or one-to-scale product development.
• Experienced in introducing new tools, AI-driven workflows, automation, prototyping techniques, or knowledge management practices.
• Experienced in collaborating with commercial teams on market validation, customer feedback, launch planning, pricing, packaging, or go-to-market readiness.
• Proven track record of enhancing how teams learn from customers, make product decisions, manage dependencies, communicate, and hold themselves accountable.
