This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the establishment of technological solutions that enhance UBC’s Patient Access, Adherence, and Affordability services.
• Develop the product vision, roadmap, value proposition, and prioritize the product backlog.
• Convert business requirements into actionable specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams.
• Keep track of industry trends, competitive dynamics, emerging technologies, product performance, user feedback, and competitor movements.
• Work in partnership with operations, project management, regulatory, development, quality, finance, pricing, marketing, data, analytics, architecture, engineering, security, privacy, compliance, and governance teams.
• Serve as the main point of contact between business stakeholders and agile development teams.
• Engage with clients and key stakeholders to grasp their needs, challenges, and priorities.
• Assist in go-to-market strategies, product positioning, messaging, launch initiatives, business development efforts, RFI/RFP submissions, pricing, estimations, presentations, and strategic planning.
• Communicate product intent, scope, client commitments, budget assumptions, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations to delivery teams during program initiation.
• Act as an executive-level product solution leader in strategic client meetings, bid defenses, governance forums, quarterly business reviews, and discussions at the portfolio level.
• Assess proposed client commitments for scope, feasibility, regulatory and validation implications, budget, resources, and delivery risks.
• Advocate for business cases and technology/AI governance review documentation.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, data security protocols, healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and operating requirements in regulated life sciences.
• Build relationships with Pharma clients for co-definition, co-development, idea sharing, and early adoption.
• May oversee Product Business Analysts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably within healthcare, life sciences, or patient support services.
• Knowledge of specialty pharmacy services, patient access programs, or affordability solutions such as copay cards and patient assistance programs.
• Capability to make tough product decisions and prioritize features based on business value.
• Experience in backlog management and user story development.
• Skill in converting complex business needs into clear product specifications and user stories.
• Ability to balance technical limitations, business priorities, and regulatory obligations.
• Certification as a Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent is advantageous.
