Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, strategic roadmap goals, client requirements, and technical sustainability.

• Convert business and client specifications into features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Agile delivery teams.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to create business cases, assess outcomes through KPIs, and monitor benefit realization.

• Integrate client feedback, operational needs, risks, and technical dependencies into roadmap decisions and prioritization.

• Work with multiple Agile teams to oversee delivery progress, communicate timelines, manage risks, and facilitate successful production releases.

• Utilize Agile, customer-focused, and product management approaches to foster continuous improvement and promote the adoption of new capabilities.

• Maintain extensive business knowledge and remain updated on industry trends.

• Participate in best practice communities for Product Owners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or a comparable mix of education and experience.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a flair for translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

• Proven track record in delivering technology-driven initiatives and experience within Agile product management settings.

• Strong leadership and influencing capabilities, allowing for decision-making, challenging the status quo, and guiding through change, both with and without formal authority.

• Technical knowledge and experience working alongside architects, developers, and cross-functional teams to establish roadmaps and technical specifications.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills at all organizational levels.

• Strategic and analytical problem-solving skills with sound judgment in uncertain situations.

• High levels of ownership, accountability, and self-motivation; capable of working independently and driving results.

• Commitment to ongoing learning, coaching, mentoring, and team development.

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and active listening capabilities.

• Ability to prioritize competing demands and make informed decisions in a dynamic, complex environment.

• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and business acumen focused on delivering value.

• Passion for addressing business challenges and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Self-starter capable of independently managing tasks across multiple Agile teams.

• Ability to quickly acquire business and product knowledge.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

• SAFe Product Owner certification is mandatory.

• Experience with compensation systems, CLA/UUS platforms, or relevant business domains is a plus but not required.
