Senior Director, Portfolio Asset Management – Multifamily / Affordable Housing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic oversight for CPC’s multifamily loan portfolio.

• Direct asset management strategies that prioritize proactive risk identification.

• Oversee performing assets while upholding strong credit discipline.

• Act as the main point of contact for investors, borrowers, and stakeholders.

• Relay portfolio performance and strategic recommendations to Senior Leadership.

• Lead, develop, and mentor Managers and Asset Managers.

• Create and refine asset management policies, procedures, and control frameworks.

• Initiate enhancements in systems, reporting, dashboards, and data quality.

• Spearhead cross-functional initiatives that align with strategic priorities.

• Establish and uphold credit governance standards.

• Conduct portfolio surveillance and improve risk reporting frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree is preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in multifamily real estate asset management.

• Extensive knowledge of credit, property operations, and Agency (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac) and banking product types.

• Demonstrated ability to convey complex credit and risk issues to Senior Leadership.

• Proven track record in leading and developing asset management teams.

• Strong analytical, financial, and decision-making skills.

• In-depth understanding of loan documentation, servicing agreements, and post-closing asset management practices.

• Comprehensive knowledge of multifamily housing operations, ownership structures, and affordable housing regulatory frameworks.

• Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel as needed.
