Director, Standards Strategy and Engagement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a representative for Experian in industry standards organizations influencing digital identity, trust, security, privacy, and AI-driven commerce.

• Keep track of standards, industry trends, and policy advancements that impact Experian's business and growth strategies.

• Cultivate and influence connections within standards bodies, industry groups, and strategic ecosystem partners.

• Discover opportunities for Experian to shape the industry landscape through contributions to standards, expertise, and external engagement.

• Provide guidance to business and technology leaders on emerging opportunities, risks, and implications related to identity, trust, fraud prevention, and agentic commerce.

• Formulate recommendations on whether Experian should take the lead, influence, collaborate, or observe industry initiatives.

• Present executive-level insights and standards intelligence to aid strategic decision-making.

• Report directly to the Innovation leadership team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in standards ecosystems pertinent to identity, privacy, security, or telecommunications.

• Additional experience in AI-centric standards or industry initiatives.

• Background in participating in technology-focused standards organizations, industry alliances, consortiums, or policy forums such as FIDO Alliance, OpenID Foundation, Trust over IP, IETF, W3C, NIST, or comparable groups.

• Understanding of regulatory, privacy, and security factors impacting digital identity solutions.

• Proven experience in evaluating intricate technical and business issues and translating those into actionable recommendations.

• Experience in influencing teams without having direct authority.

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
