This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Shape and guide EVC’s long-term People & Culture strategic vision in line with organizational values and objectives, consistently achieving results despite challenges.
• Act as a senior advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and leadership team on people-related strategies, risks, and decision-making processes.
• Establish clear decision-making frameworks to minimize bottlenecks and prevent over-centralization.
• Advocate for diversity and inclusion at a strategic level, ensuring equitable practices and collaboration among diverse groups.
• Oversee the employee relations strategy, which includes intake, triage, investigation, and resolution of workplace issues.
• Design and implement standardized protocols for investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensure mutual accountability among staff, managers, and leadership.
• Lead the design and execution of fair performance management, promotion, and compensation systems.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and resilience, exemplifying the embrace of feedback.
• Manage the People & Culture policy framework, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and governance.
• Directly supervise and mentor the People & Culture team.
• Progressive HR / People & Culture leadership experience at the senior or executive level.
• Proven success in leading HR within complex, high-accountability environments (e.g., rapid changes, high employee relations volume, labor/employee relations intensity).
• Extensive experience in employee relations and workplace investigations — adept at handling complex issues and establishing robust, defensible processes.
• Demonstrated capability to shape and drive strategic people initiatives organization-wide with minimal oversight.
• Experience in leading People & Culture functions in intricate or unionized environments.
• Strong judgment, executive presence, and the ability to advise and influence leaders at all levels, including the Board of Directors.
• Proven track record of rebuilding trust in low-trust organizational settings.
• Experience with budget management for a People & Culture function.
• SHRM-SCP, SPHR, JD, or equivalent credential is strongly preferred.
