Senior Director, PBM Strategic Relations

📋 Description

• Lead a team of PBM Strategic Relations Managers responsible for overseeing the daily management of our PBM partnerships.

• Guide the decision-making process for PBM initiatives by collaborating with RxBenefits and PBM executive leadership.

• Provide counsel on the development of PBM Request for Proposals (RFPs), including their review, assessment, and executive summaries.

• Hold PBMs accountable for resolving escalated service and operational challenges.

• Ensure the organization is prepared to support PBM programs and services by working alongside PBM partners and cross-functional teams to review, comprehend, and evaluate programs while articulating RxBenefits’ internal positioning.

• Act as the main conduit for PBM initiatives, ensuring timely and precise communication across various cross-functional teams.

• Exhibit transformational leadership by motivating and engaging teams while guiding behaviors toward a shared strategic vision.

• Foster ongoing communication with PBM leadership to sustain strong, strategic, and collaborative relationships.

• Monitor and report on PBM trends, successes, and challenges.

• Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM).

• At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Proven expertise and understanding of PBM contractual terms and conditions.

• Comprehensive knowledge of PBM’s operational processes.

• Effective communication skills with both internal and external executive leadership.

• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and a sense of urgency.

• Advanced interpersonal, communication, and collaborative leadership abilities.

• Strong independent critical thinking capabilities.

• Demonstrated team building, relationship management, and project management skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organizational environment.

• Capacity to communicate with PBM vendors in a respectful and meaningful manner to foster positive relationships.

• Willingness to travel to internal and external conferences/meetings (approximately <20%).

• Proven track record of leading and managing a high-performing team.
