Managing Director – Global Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Define and implement the long-term vision along with the commercial strategy.

• Design the operational framework and organizational structure.

• Develop the strategy for market entry and the roadmap for international expansion.

• Establish scalable processes, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational rhythms.

• Create a sustainable, high-growth business model.

• Formulate and execute the global commercial strategy.

• Forge strategic partnerships with financial institutions, payment providers, fintech companies, enterprise merchants, and digital platforms.

• Personally oversee high-stakes commercial negotiations and strategic alliances.

• Identify new revenue streams and expedite market growth.

• Recruit and nurture a high-performing international organization.

• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and effective execution.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, and the Executive Team.

• Take ownership of commercial success and business development.

⛳️ Requirements

• - **8+ years** of experience in commercial leadership, business development, general management, or executive roles.

• - Demonstrated experience in building or scaling a business, business unit, new market, or product from inception.

• - Strong background in **payments, fintech, financial infrastructure, banking, acquiring, or crypto payments**.

• - Proven history of leading strategic partnerships and enterprise-level negotiations.

• - Experience in owning commercial strategy and driving business growth.

• - Experience in hiring, building, and managing high-performing international teams.

• - Strong strategic insight coupled with practical execution skills.

• - Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

• - Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.

• - Proficiency in English.
