This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership of the roadmap for future LillyDirect payment services and capabilities over the next month through the upcoming 18 months.
• Lead innovation initiatives aimed at enhancing authorization rates, reducing processing costs, and broadening payment method coverage.
• Act as the main payments contact for international affiliates as LillyDirect grows on a global scale.
• Monitor and evaluate legislative developments, regulatory changes, market and competitive dynamics, shifts in Lilly policy, CSH priorities, and organizational transformations.
• Implement necessary changes to maintain audit readiness for Payment Services.
• Provide operational and financial insights to optimize payment tool decisions.
• Manage B2B vendor strategies and contracts, including Adyen and future payment service providers, along with negotiation, renewal, and performance oversight.
• Collaborate with Tech@Lilly and LillyDirect Platform Experience to integrate automation into the payment infrastructure.
• Advocate for payment operations perspectives in product and technology roadmap discussions.
• Work alongside LillyDirect Customer Care, Finance, Platform Experience, and Tech@Lilly on forward-looking initiatives.
• Integrate operational challenges from the Payment Service Delivery role into roadmap priorities.
• Report to the Associate Vice President – Business Operations for LUSA Consumer Services.
• Supervise direct reports.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in direct-to-consumer payments operations, customer solutions delivery, or customer solutions transformation.
• Proficiency in vendor and contract negotiation and management.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas.
• Strong understanding of card processing, settlements, disputes, chargebacks, and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with enterprise payment service providers and payment orchestration platforms.
• Proven track record of building or significantly enhancing operations.
• Strong analytical skills and judgment.
• Exposure to international payment flows and cross-border expansion.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and/or Vertex for tax compliance.
• Experience in fraud prevention, underwriting, or risk monitoring.
• Understanding of PCI-DSS compliance requirements.
• Background working with or alongside Global Business Solutions or shared services teams.
• Experience in monitoring regulatory or legislative changes pertinent to payments.
