Senior Director – Oncology Patient Solutions Innovation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the strategy and investment rationale for Pfizer Oncology Together, This Is Living With Cancer, My Healthcare Finances, oncology co-pay, and patient support services initiatives.

• Oversee the US and Global Patient Experience team across various Platforms, Brand Teams & QoL, Innovation, and Partnerships.

• Develop a coordinated execution roadmap with outcome-driven KPIs.

• Facilitate the transition from reactive to predictive, AI-driven patient support.

• Provide insights on access, affordability, and adherence challenges to Commercial Oncology leadership.

• Formulate oncology patient solutions strategies and guarantee cross-functional tactical execution.

• Collaborate with Field Reimbursement and Advocacy & Professional Relations leadership.

• Mentor the Global & US Patient Experience Team Lead and prioritize the hiring of the Marketing Manager.

• Manage budgets and investment choices for platforms and access programs.

• Construct and present business cases connecting investment to adherence, persistence, and access results.

• Reduce misuse of access programs.

• Evaluate vendors and emerging technologies while responsibly and compliantly introducing AI capabilities.

• Represent Pfizer in external engagements with providers, advocacy organizations, health systems, and industry forums.

• Establish metrics to assess the impact of oncology patient experience and patient solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required.

• An advanced degree such as an MBA or MPH is strongly preferred.

• At least 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical commercial roles.

• Significant experience in Oncology is essential.

• Strong knowledge of the US access landscape, including pharmacy and medical benefit oncolytics, co-pay, maximizer/accumulator programs, and Part D to buy-and-bill reimbursement processes.

• Proven experience in applying AI, predictive analytics, or digital tools to patient-facing initiatives.

• Experience in translating digital or AI projects into an investment case for senior leadership.

• Proven track record in managing budget, P&L, or investment decisions for patient support platforms and/or co-pay or charitable access programs.

• Strong strategic and analytical thinking capabilities.

• Experience working effectively within a matrix environment and leading through influence.

• Ability to convert strategy and analysis into tactical execution.

• History of successfully leading complex, multi-workstream programs during organizational change or uncertainty.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation abilities.

• Prior experience in people leadership with a demonstrated history of high performance.

• Direct experience in leading or collaborating with a Field Reimbursement organization is preferred.

• Familiarity with advocacy and patient solutions guardrails and Financial Access Navigation is preferred.

• Experience in headquarters roles across various cross-functional departments, teams, and business units is preferred.

• Experience in access and reimbursement related to oral and IV oncology products is preferred.

• A minimum of 10 years of specific Oncology market experience is preferred.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.
