This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Provides high-level leadership within KBI’s Program Management Office.
• Oversees intricate, multi-modality programs that encompass Drug Substance (BDS), Drug Product (DP), and Fill/Finish partner networks.
• Responsible for the execution of programs and delivery to clients, alongside PMO strategy, operational excellence, and enhancing organizational maturity.
• Acts as a senior partner for clients, ensuring effective alignment between KBI, clients, and strategic collaborators.
• Manages project timelines throughout all development phases, from project award and kick-off to close-out.
• Develops, maintains, and updates project plans in a timely manner.
• Communicates project status, progress, timelines, schedule changes, and any technical and/or quality issues.
• Schedules, facilitates, and documents client team meetings related to the program.
• Leads cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Analyzes risks, formulates contingency plans, and identifies trigger events along with responsibilities for initiating mitigating actions.
• A Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science (M.Sc), or Doctorate (Ph.D.) is required.
• A Bachelor's degree (B.Sc) in a scientific or related field with over 15 years of relevant industry experience is acceptable in lieu of an advanced degree.
• PMP certification (current or planned shortly).
• A minimum of 15 years of industry experience, with at least 8 years of direct project management experience.
• Previous experience managing projects effectively within a pharmaceutical or biotech company, CDMO, CRO, or similar environment is required.
• Experience in client contract negotiations is necessary.
• Previous personnel management experience of over 5 years is essential.
• Proven experience in developing project management tools/templates, enhancing project systems, and implementing best practices.
• Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility, including the capacity to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change.
• Ability to build teams and foster a spirit of collaboration while coordinating various activities and groups.
