Senior Director of Managed Services – Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and spearhead the enterprise infrastructure strategy and managed services delivery encompassing storage, virtualization, HCI, compute, and disaster recovery.

• Create multi-year roadmaps that align with hybrid cloud adoption, consumption-based infrastructure (GreenLake, APEX), and initiatives for digital transformation.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders (CIO, CTO) regarding infrastructure modernization and risk reduction.

• Supervise the architecture and standardization of platforms including: Enterprise storage (SAN, NAS, software-defined storage), Virtualization (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V), Hyperconverged infrastructure (VxRail, Nutanix, PowerFlex), and on-premises and hybrid compute environments.

• Oversee platform lifecycle management, which includes upgrades, patching, and technology refresh strategies.

• Lead the adoption and optimization of HPE GreenLake and Dell APEX platforms for on-demand infrastructure consumption.

• Propel hybrid compute models that integrate on-premises infrastructure with Azure, AWS, and GCP.

• Own the disaster recovery strategy, incorporating replication architectures, failover design, and testing frameworks.

• Collaborate with Managed Services leadership to improve delivery quality, scalability, and automation.

• Direct strategic client engagements, which include assessments, roadmap development, and executive briefings.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15-20+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, with a minimum of 10+ years in leadership roles, and at least 5+ years in people leadership roles, demonstrating increasing levels of seniority.

• Extensive expertise in enterprise infrastructure technologies such as VMware, Nutanix, VxRail, Dell PowerFlex, and enterprise storage platforms.

• Proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure environments within hybrid and multi-cloud ecosystems.

• Strong knowledge of disaster recovery, replication technologies, and business continuity planning.

• Practical experience with consumption-based infrastructure models (HPE GreenLake, Dell APEX, or similar).

• Demonstrated capability to align infrastructure strategy with business and financial goals.

• Comprehensive understanding of ITSM frameworks, operational processes, and managed services delivery models.

• Experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, and large-scale infrastructure optimization.

• Exceptional executive communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simplified manner.
