This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and manage Thousand Currents’ values-driven organizational learning framework and approach.
• Collaborate with the Executive Team to establish systems, culture, and practices that encourage learning and demonstrate impact.
• Enhance learning systems, tools, processes, and the online Learning Platform.
• Set annual priorities and budget for the Learning & Impact function.
• Create methodologies, standards, processes, and tools for data collection, analysis, collective sensemaking, and adaptation.
• Integrate data and learning practices across teams and uphold annual information-aggregation cycles.
• Assist in data collection from grantee partners and oversee quality control and analysis.
• Promote responsible data practices throughout the organization.
• Craft compelling narratives and strategically disseminate learning in collaboration with the Communications Team.
• Cultivate relationships and facilitate organization-wide reflections, collective sensemaking, and team-based reflection.
• Provide technical support to teams incorporating learning systems and practices.
• Encourage evidence- and data-informed decision-making and organizational performance reviews.
• Attract, nurture, mentor, and retain high-performing team members.
• Oversee staff policies, workloads, collaboration, and team support.
• Engage in staff meetings, retreats, trainings, organizational activities, fundraising initiatives, and annual events.
• Handle routine administration, receipts, reimbursements, scheduling, travel arrangements, filing, and HR documentation.
• Exemplify Thousand Currents’ values and contribute to a positive organizational culture.
• Over 10 years of senior-level experience in leading learning, evaluation, applied research, or a similar field.
• Background in social justice philanthropy, movement-aligned organizations, applied research institutions, or similar environments.
• Familiarity with one or more thematic areas, such as food sovereignty, agroecology, energy democracy, climate justice, stewardship of the commons, or economic justice.
• Experience collaborating with social justice and movement formations, particularly within the global majority.
• Proven history of developing and implementing processes that enhance rigor and learning across an organization.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate trust-based relationships and effective collaboration.
• Strong project management skills and exceptional organizational abilities.
• Experience with CRM and/or knowledge management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to convey complex concepts clearly.
• Experience leading significant analytical and knowledge products, including strategic reflections, evaluations, retrospective studies, and case studies.
• Proficient facilitation skills and experience creating environments for collective sensemaking and reflection.
• Adaptability, creativity, and the ability to contribute at both strategic and tactical levels.
• Humility, self-awareness, accessibility, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine team-oriented mindset.
• Capacity to work effectively in a fully remote, geographically dispersed, and culturally diverse team across multiple time zones.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
• A valid passport is required.

• Annual salary of $152,000 USD.
