This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the development and execution of strategic opportunities aimed at expanding Cherokee Federal's Salesforce portfolio within the federal sector.
• Utilize a well-established network of government stakeholders, acquisition officials, decision-makers, and industry leaders to pinpoint and expedite federal growth opportunities.
• Create, manage, and implement a thorough business development pipeline and strategy for account growth to identify, capture, and maintain new client relationships.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships with public sector Salesforce Account Executives and key players throughout the wider Salesforce ecosystem, including partners, ISVs, resellers, and integrators.
• Work closely with Salesforce Practice leadership to pinpoint targeted federal accounts, prioritize strategic pursuits, and bolster long-term growth initiatives in the public sector.
• Identify, assess, and shape new Salesforce-related opportunities using market intelligence, procurement data sources, and industry connections.
• Leverage an in-depth understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem and platform capabilities to assist federal clients in tackling mission challenges and modernizing operations.
• Lead and manage complex federal capture and proposal initiatives, including technical solution development, proposal strategy, and competitive positioning for civilian and DoD agencies.
• Direct proposal activities to ensure adherence to solicitation requirements, federal evaluation criteria, and internal quality standards.
• Provide leadership and guidance throughout the entire business development lifecycle, ensuring streamlined execution across capture, proposal, and delivery stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach business development and proposal team members, promoting continuous improvement and the adoption of best practices in capture and proposal processes.
• Author and contribute to proposal content, including Technical Approaches, Management Plans, Staffing Plans, Executive Summaries, and materials for oral presentations.
• Represent the organization at Salesforce public sector events, federal industry conferences, and relevant government trade shows.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a Salesforce (Salesforce experience preferred) or similar low-code/no-code platform environment, focused on public sector business development, capture, and proposal writing.
• Proven track record of successfully capturing and winning U.S. federal government contracts.
• Expertise in low-code/no-code platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Appian, Pega, or other similar enterprise technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in shaping, leading, and delivering successful proposals for federal civilian and/or Department of Defense (DoD) government programs.
• Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes and contract vehicles, including IDIQs, BPAs, GWACs, and agency-specific procurement mechanisms.
• Working knowledge of core Salesforce capabilities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and related platform solutions.
• Established relationships within the federal marketplace, comprising government clients, industry partners, and Salesforce ecosystem stakeholders.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile).
• Ability to effectively communicate organizational vision, technical capabilities, and mission value propositions to both executive and technical audiences.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with extensive experience in developing RFIs, white papers, proposals, and executive briefings.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if necessary.
