Senior Director of Construction – General Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Supervise all aspects of residential renovations and new constructions across a geographically varied portfolio.

• Act as a reliable partner to executive leadership, offering strategic guidance and executive-level insights.

• Stay actively involved in field operations and daily project execution.

• Direct project planning and contractor management efforts.

• Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional stakeholders.

• Ensure that work aligns with the organization's vision, operational objectives, and long-term asset strategy.

• Oversee high-end residential renovation and new construction projects.

• Manage multiple projects across different markets.

• Administer property portfolios while considering long-term operational implications.

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, contract management, contract negotiations, and vendor relationships.

• Anticipate potential challenges, resolve conflicts, and lead teams through intricate projects.

• Travel throughout the United States as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience in construction, real estate development, or similar fields.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, real estate, architecture, or a related discipline.

• Extensive practical field experience with a comprehensive understanding of construction methods and processes.

• Proven track record in managing high-end residential projects, including renovations and new builds.

• Demonstrated success in overseeing multiple projects and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Experience in managing property portfolios with awareness of long-term operational impacts.

• Strong financial skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract management.

• Proficiency in tools like Procore, Bluebeam, Matterport, or comparable platforms.

• Strategic leadership with a fiduciary approach and strong decision-making skills.

• Expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management across various markets.

• Capacity to foresee challenges, mediate conflicts, and guide teams through complex project landscapes.

• Excellent communication abilities, simplifying complex issues for diverse audiences.

• High level of organizational awareness and adeptness at navigating multi-layered environments.

• Ability to work from the office or remotely from anywhere on the East Coast.

• Willingness to travel throughout the United States as needed.
