Senior Director of Construction – General Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Supervise all stages of residential renovations and new constructions across a geographically varied portfolio.

• Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while providing strategic guidance.

• Maintain a strong involvement in field operations and daily execution.

• Direct project planning and contractor oversight.

• Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional stakeholders.

• Ensure that work is in accordance with the organization's vision, operational objectives, and long-term asset strategy.

• Oversee premium residential renovation and new construction projects.

• Manage multiple projects and property portfolios.

• Handle budgets, forecasts, contracts, vendors, and financial aspects related to projects.

• Anticipate obstacles, mediate conflicts, and lead teams through intricate projects.

• Travel throughout the United States as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience in construction, real estate development, or related fields.

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, real estate, architecture, or a related discipline.

• Extensive hands-on field experience with comprehensive knowledge of construction methods and practices.

• Proven track record of managing high-end residential projects (both renovations and new constructions).

• Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Experience in managing property portfolios with an understanding of long-term operational consequences.

• Strong financial insight, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract management.

• Proficient with tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, Matterport, or similar platforms.

• Strategic leadership capabilities with a fiduciary mindset and robust decision-making skills.

• Expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management across diverse markets.

• Ability to foresee challenges, mediate conflicts, and steer teams through complex projects.

• Excellent communication skills with the capability to simplify complex issues for a varied audience.

• High level of organizational awareness and aptitude for navigating multi-layered environments.

• Willingness to travel throughout the U.S. as necessary.
