Senior Director, Medical Strategy Lead – Rheumatology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Deliver strategic medical and scientific expertise in Rheumatology to IQVIA.

• Initiate early engagement with prospective clients.

• Create proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs).

• Participate as the medical director and subject matter expert in client proposal bid defense meetings.

• Act as a consultant throughout the research and development lifecycle and during clinical trials.

• Function as an independent customer solution provider.

• Develop clinical development plans.

• Implement group strategy and guide the strategic direction of the Center of Excellence.

• Collaborate across the organization to utilize IQVIA resources effectively.

• Engage in thought leadership initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or within a CRO environment.

• Candidates with a CRO background should have held a senior strategic position with strong leadership skills and substantial expertise in Rheumatology.

• A terminal degree (MD) and training in Rheumatology are essential.

• Demonstrated knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within the research and development therapeutic area.

• Must be Board Certified in Rheumatology.

• Ability to travel nationally or internationally at least 20% of the time is required.
