This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Spearhead national and regional engagement with medical directors and key policy decision-makers among payers.
• Obtain coverage and ensure suitable reimbursement while minimizing administrative hurdles across both commercial and government payers.
• Interpret payer policies, clinical utility expectations, and cost-effectiveness frameworks for internal stakeholders.
• Formulate and execute market access strategies that align with commercial objectives and product positioning.
• Provide guidance on reimbursement pathways, payer dynamics, and opportunities and risks related to access for both pipeline and in-market tests.
• Direct coding, coverage, and payment strategies for advanced technologies, aiding in business case formulation and go/no-go decisions.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Clinical teams to identify evidence gaps and develop evidence-generation strategies.
• Assist in designing clinical studies that meet payer requirements for analytical validity, clinical validity, and clinical utility.
• Partner with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to synchronize reimbursement performance with payer policies and enhance revenue capture.
• Work in conjunction with Marketing to create value messaging targeted at payers.
• Collaborate with Government Payer Solutions and Regulatory Affairs to broaden access opportunities.
• Lead the market access strategy for the development of new tests, focusing on reimbursement potential and barriers to payer adoption.
• Ensure that market access requirements are integrated into product strategy, pricing, and launch planning.
• Monitor payer policies, clinical guidelines, competitive trends, and emerging evidence.
• Represent Labcorp in engagements with payers, industry forums, and professional organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or Life Sciences.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in market access, reimbursement, or payer strategy within diagnostics, biotech, or healthcare services.
• Specialized knowledge in pediatric and rare diseases, genetic testing, and/or other areas of specialty testing.
• Proven track record of successfully securing payer coverage and reimbursement for innovative diagnostics.
• Strong comprehension of coding, coverage, and payment pathways for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVDs) and Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs).
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentation skills.
• Capability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
