This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct the strategy for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of significant donors and prospects.
• Personally engage in the cultivation, solicitation, and closure of investments ranging from five to seven figures.
• Oversee a portfolio of major donors and high-capacity prospects through every phase of the donor lifecycle.
• Create concept notes, proposals, cases for support, and various communications for donors.
• Take responsibility for meeting annual revenue targets through effective portfolio management.
• Spearhead the development and implementation of the major gifts growth strategy, with an annual expansion of the donor portfolio.
• Establish and maintain a pipeline of high-capacity donors through diligent research and outreach efforts.
• Collaborate with various departments within the organization to realize philanthropic opportunities.
• 7-10+ years of direct fundraising experience with a proven track record in securing transformative gifts.
• Demonstrated success in expanding a major gift portfolio and effectively closing new major contributions.
• History of working alongside CEOs, board members, and senior executives on intricate fundraising strategies and solicitations.
• Proven ability to influence fundraising strategy, build donor pipelines, and enhance portfolio growth.
• Outstanding relationship management, communication, and strategic planning abilities.
• Strong judgment, initiative, and an aptitude for thriving in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
• Familiarity with CRM systems for managing donor portfolios and fundraising strategies; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
• A keen interest in public charter school education, public policy, advocacy, and/or civic engagement.
