Senior Director, Legal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• In the role of Senior Director, Legal at Kasa, you will act as the chief legal authority for the company, safeguarding and facilitating the business through commercial contracts, litigation, risk management, employment law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.

• You will report directly to the CEO and be part of Kasa's leadership team, providing guidance to executives on legal, regulatory, and risk factors that influence company strategy, operations, and growth.

• Collaborating closely with teams in commercial, operations, finance, and human resources, you will develop scalable legal frameworks that support a dynamic, tech-driven hospitality platform operating across more than 85 properties in the U.S. and internationally.

• This position demands a profound legal acumen, a preference for pragmatic solutions, and the capacity to navigate complexities across various legal fields, all while functioning as a genuine business partner rather than merely a legal gatekeeper.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including at least three years as in-house counsel for an operating company, preferably within the hospitality sector.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a prestigious and accredited law school in the United States.

• Bar admission and active membership in a state bar association in the U.S.

• Proficient in using Google Suite, Slack, Ironclad or equivalent contract management software, and advanced AI tools.

• The Pay: The starting base salary for this position ranges from $200,000 to $225,000, determined by various factors including business needs, market conditions, availability of talent, experience, and specific skills. The base salary range may be adjusted and this role may also qualify for equity, bonuses, perks, benefits, and Kasa Travel Credits.
