This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees projects and initiatives, collaborating with various teams across OPG Sales/Ops/Corporate to resolve issues effectively.
• Works alongside the CFO to design the future Corporate FP&A function and contributes to employee engagement initiatives within the Finance team.
• Accountable for delivering comprehensive OPG financial reporting and analysis to management, in collaboration with the Corporate Controller.
• Partners with Finance leadership to collect and interpret detailed BU and departmental data.
• Manages requests from stakeholders, including OPG Senior Leadership and Board members.
• Stays informed about economic conditions, business environments, industry trends, and market dynamics.
• Organizes and leads the OPG reporting, forecasting, and planning processes, identifying areas for enhancement.
• Collaborates with Accounting on the overall deliverables calendar.
• Assesses key performance and profitability drivers with the Finance team, encompassing all OPG incentives, sales productivity, and contract/customer/product profitability.
• Facilitates business case and ROI development for investments in areas such as IT and Fleet management and collaborates with Accounting to track and evaluate all capital expenditures.
• Evaluates and addresses the need for improved reporting, including executive dashboards, headcount reporting, and centralized KPI reporting.
• Works in partnership with Accounting and Sales/Operations on these deliverables.
• Analyzes monthly financial results of the company, comparing current and year-to-date performance against prior year, forecast, and plan; assesses performance of BU’s and departments.
• Provides narrative and variance analysis.
• Collaborates with the Corporate Controller to prepare regular monthly reporting, including financial results meetings, month-end reporting packages, and presentations for the Board.
• Aids in streamlining and enhancing all reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate projections and reporting.
• Partners with the Assistant Controller on projections and expenses for Corporate departments, including detailed reporting on T&E.
• Develops and prepares ad hoc reports and management presentations for senior leaders.
• Works with the CFO and Controller to identify opportunities to further enhance OPG's financial health.
• Collaborates with the CFO and Finance Leadership to adopt new technologies and AI that enhance processes and productivity.
• Redefines the tracking and measurement of acquisition performance and collaborates with integration resources to solidify the M&A playbook and boost ROI.
• Assists in evaluating acquisition targets, including due diligence, financial modeling, and integration.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related business field; MBA preferred.
• At least 15 years of experience, encompassing a variety of company sizes and ownership structures (PE, private, etc.).
• Proven ability to lead and coach teams from analyst level and above.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in Industrial Services and/or Logistics is advantageous.
• Experience in consolidated FP&A, M&A, and strategic planning is required.
• Proficiency in pricing and profitability analysis is preferred.
• Experience in evaluating incentives and salesperson ROI is preferred.
• Familiarity with Program Management and Process Improvement/Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
• Advanced understanding of and ability to apply finance and accounting best practices and standards.
• Excellent analytical abilities and effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Naturally inquisitive and motivated to gain a comprehensive understanding of financial and operational business drivers to identify opportunities.
• Must exhibit collaboration, innovative thinking/problem-solving skills, and decisiveness with a bias for action while leading others through change.
• A hands-on leader adept at transitioning from high-level strategy to detailed execution.
• Key attributes include personal integrity, transparency, ethics, team-oriented mindset, values-driven approach, self-motivation, curiosity, analytical skills, adaptability, results-oriented focus, and a willingness to engage actively.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Oracle (or similar) report creation is required.
• Strong skills in building presentations and storytelling are essential.
• The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history background check and drug screening.
