This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the market access team in the field, engaging with payers and Treatment Centers.
• Facilitate optimal access and coverage for Kyverna’s product range across various payers and Cellular Therapy Treatment Centers.
• Act as both a player and coach while ultimately leading a team dedicated to fostering and sustaining relationships with state Medicaid payers, MACs, and both national and regional payers.
• Ensure that Kyverna’s therapies receive the necessary coverage and reimbursement.
• Develop and implement account-specific business strategies that align with broader market access and brand objectives.
• Present persuasive value propositions and payer materials tailored to the unique needs of each stakeholder.
• Monitor and report on market dynamics, competitive insights, policy shifts, and access challenges.
• Collaborate in creating performance KPIs and metrics to assess access success and account effectiveness.
• A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Over 12 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors, with more than 10 years focused on market access, encompassing both field and strategy positions.
• At least 5 years of experience in leadership roles.
• Experience in rare diseases or oncology cellular therapies is essential; familiarity with buy & bill processes is required.
• Preferably experienced in Cell or Gene Therapy.
• Comprehensive understanding of:
• Commercial payers (both national and regional) and their medical policy decision-making processes.
• Development of Medicaid policies.
• CMS protocols and applications (NTAP, DRG, Q/J-code, etc.).
• Reimbursement strategies and patient pull-through mechanisms.
• Coding and billing regulations.
• Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) processes for high-cost drug therapies.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with payers and financial decision-makers in Treatment Centers.
• Documented history of existing relationships with payers and financial decision-makers.
• Strategic thinker with a collaborative approach and the capability to influence cross-functional teams, demonstrating unique persistence in enhancing patient access to intricate medicines.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in CRM/COS systems, PowerPoint, and Excel.
