Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture – IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Lead the program and organization in the development, maintenance, governance, and ongoing evolution of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) at DaVita, ensuring alignment with contemporary industry standards and consulting best practices (e.g., Gartner).

• Manage all facets of the EA process, encompassing business alignment, future-state planning, and roadmap creation that promotes modernization and optimization via innovation.

• Foster the adoption of secure, standardized, and interoperable platforms that align with strategic business objectives.

• Serve as a catalyst for modernizing legacy mindsets by integrating AI and agentic paradigms, while overseeing architecture governance.

• Actively unite solution architects and technology leaders to construct an architectural foundation that enhances speed to value while systematically minimizing technical debt.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required.

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in Information Technology, including at least 10 years in senior leadership positions that shape enterprise architecture and technology strategy execution.

• Proven experience in leading IT transformation through the adoption of modern IT architectures, such as cloud-native applications, enterprise security, integration platforms, and event-driven architecture.

• Comprehensive understanding of contemporary EA frameworks and best practices.

• Strong expertise in financial models, budgeting, and the capacity to assess the financial implications of EA alternatives, effectively communicating ROI and translating business needs into actionable, standardized, and secure EA requirements.

• Proficient in both written and verbal communication skills necessary to effectively execute the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities associated with this position.
