This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and enhance the enterprise training strategy, operational model, and multi-year roadmap for medical and scientific capabilities within Development and Medical Affairs.
• Convert organizational and functional strategies into prioritized, scalable, and measurable training programs.
• Provide strategic guidance on training frameworks, curricula, systems, and delivery methods.
• Collaborate with senior and executive stakeholders across Development, Medical Affairs, and cross-functional teams.
• Lead governance and engagement forums, such as the Field Training Stakeholder Committee and UltraSpark.
• Influence cross-functional and organizational initiatives by advocating for training and capability development.
• Manage disease-state, scientific, and capability-focused training aligned with the objectives of Medical Affairs and Development.
• Direct the design and implementation of impactful training programs.
• Establish and refine certification frameworks for medical and scientific roles.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and pinpoint opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and scalability.
• Promote cross-functional alignment, shared content, and operational efficiencies.
• Advocate for simplicity, efficiency, and scalability within training processes and solutions.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Biotech/Pharma, including at least 5+ years in developing and executing enterprise or global training strategies; a comparable combination of experience and education may be accepted.
• Extensive knowledge of the medical and scientific capability requirements of Medical Affairs, Field Medical, and Development organizations.
• Direct experience in supporting or working within field medical, Medical Affairs, or another externally-oriented scientific function is strongly preferred.
• A Master’s degree in a clinical field is required; RN, RNP, Nurse Education, or equivalent qualifications are acceptable.
• Instructional Design and/or Training Professional Certification is preferred.
• Change Management certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with instructional design principles, communication strategies, training delivery methods, and the integration of new learning technologies including AI or digitally enabled learning approaches.
• Proven experience in designing and developing training solutions such as capability models, curricula, learning pathways, and certification programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for diverse audiences.
• Ability to engage in multiple departmental or interdepartmental strategic initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Capability to build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain positive relationships with senior management, colleagues, and direct reports.
• Ability to mobilize cross-functional stakeholders and facilitate decision-making without relying solely on formal authority.
• Strong leadership attributes, vision, and dedication.
• Willingness to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and deadline-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in using data and performance insights to assess impact.
• Skills in strategic planning, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and managing multiple enterprise priorities and projects.
