
Senior Director, Development – Data Center Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Oversee the delivery of customer deployment projects for each sold agreement at every QTS location.
• Collaborate with the QTS Property Development team and specialized consultants to cater to customer design requirements, pricing, approvals, and the execution of deployment scopes.
• Manage project delivery by aligning client goals, business processes, vendor management strategies, and fostering collaboration across QTS.
• Lead client relationship management and cost management to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Act as the primary contact for Federal sales support regarding potential secured agreements.
• Serve as QTS’ liaison for new client builds and implementations.
• Facilitate communication between QTS Sales, Operations, Property Development, and the customer.
• Collaborate with existing Development Construction Project Managers to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled.
• Report to the QTS Property Development department and closely coordinate with the CHO and CRO.
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture.
• A minimum of ten years of progressive responsibility in the development of Mission Critical Facilities.
• At least five years of experience supervising data center project construction with large-scale data centers or DC lease providers.
• Willingness to travel as necessary for business purposes.
• Proven experience managing multiple large, complex projects.
• Familiarity with Construction Health & Safety regulations.
• Knowledge of Customer Deployment Technologies and Equipment.
• RCDD certification is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage deadlines and support team members.
• Skill in influencing cross-discipline teams.
