This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• The Sr. Director of Corporate Relations reports directly to the CEO and is tasked with developing, managing, and expanding WomenHeart’s corporate funding pipeline and portfolio.
• This role involves identifying, nurturing, soliciting, securing, and maintaining relationships with corporations, life sciences companies, and other industry stakeholders.
• The individual will create and uphold a comprehensive corporate fundraising strategy that details how WomenHeart will achieve its annual corporate funding objectives and revenue goals.
• It is essential to build and sustain a strong pipeline of corporate prospects and current partners, complete with documented cultivation, solicitation, renewal, and stewardship plans.
• The Sr. Director will keep an eye on trends in corporate giving, sponsorship, CSR, and industry engagement to guide strategy and outreach efforts.
• The role also includes developing sponsorship concepts, proposals, presentations, and related materials in collaboration with internal teams.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred; however, relevant experience may be accepted in place of formal degree qualifications.
• A minimum of 7 to 10 years of pertinent experience in corporate relations, business development, sponsorship, corporate fundraising, or nonprofit development is required.
• Proven success in securing and managing corporate partnerships and revenue is essential.
• Experience in handling multiple funder or partner relationships simultaneously, along with a strong project management discipline, is necessary.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills are required.
• A demonstrated ability to utilize CRM systems, maintain accurate records, and manage reporting responsibilities is important.
• Capability to analyze partnership opportunities, create budgets or revenue forecasts, and effectively communicate results using data and metrics is essential.
• The ability to work in collaboration with various departments while also functioning independently with minimal oversight is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related workplace technologies, including systems for project management, reporting, and donor or partner tracking, is necessary.
• A demonstrated ability to foresee, evaluate, and respond strategically to risks, opportunities, and shifts in the funding landscape is crucial.
• Willingness to travel to WomenHeart events, corporate partner events, or gatherings (up to 25% depending on location) is required.
