
Senior Director, Contracting & Network Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Supervise the development and execution of contracting activities related to network development and enhancement.
• Provide strategic leadership, guidance, and oversight on provider contracting, network development, and network optimization initiatives across various product lines.
• Formulate and implement network strategies that support organizational growth, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain network adequacy, meet affordability objectives, and achieve provider engagement goals.
• Work collaboratively with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to create contracting solutions and strengthen partnerships with providers.
• Direct the evaluation, review, negotiation, and ongoing management of product-specific contracts and amendments between the health plan and vendors.
• Develop strategies for new networks in collaboration with business development and providers to achieve network access and unit cost objectives.
• Identify resources and assemble teams from various business functions.
• Create budgets that align with Centene's network management and financial goals.
• Support new business initiatives in diverse markets.
• Lead network development specialists during the implementation and development phases.
• Monitor performance and execute solutions to address process and quality gaps.
• Communicate network strategy and planning to senior management and Centene leadership.
• Negotiate complex and significant provider contracts as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 7 years of relevant contracting or healthcare operations experience.
• Proven experience in establishing new markets, including strategic development and oversight of implementation.
• Preferred candidate should reside in Texas.
• Capability to oversee provider contracting, network development, and network optimization initiatives.
• Experience in negotiating complex and major provider contracts.
• Understanding of network access, unit cost objectives, network adequacy, regulatory compliance, affordability goals, and provider engagement.
