Senior Director, Contracting & Network Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation and execution of contracting activities related to network development and enhancement.

• Lead the evaluation, review, negotiation, and ongoing management of product-specific contracts and amendments between health plans and vendors.

• Collaborate with business development and providers to formulate strategies aimed at establishing new networks that fulfill access and unit cost targets.

• Identify necessary resources and assemble suitable cross-functional teams.

• Create budgets that align with network management and financial goals.

• Assist in launching new business initiatives in various markets while taking into account market conditions, provider communities, budget limitations, and available resources.

• Guide network development specialists throughout the implementation and development phases.

• Track performance and implement solutions to address process and quality deficiencies.

• Convey network strategy and planning to senior management and Centene leadership.

• Negotiate complex and significant provider contracts as required.

• Perform other assigned responsibilities and adhere to policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 7 years of relevant experience in contracting or healthcare operations.

• Proven experience in establishing new markets, including strategy development and oversight of implementation.

• Candidates must reside in the state of Florida.

• Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately 10%, for internal and provider-facing meetings.
