This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• This leadership position leads the Global Commercial Development Team, concentrating on enhancing portfolio growth and profitability for Solesis.
• As an integral member of the Commercial Leadership Team, the Sr. Director works collaboratively across departments to ensure alignment with Solesis' business strategy and execution, emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth.
• Direct and nurture the Global Commercial Development Team, promoting a culture of mentorship and professional advancement.
• Oversee all facets of revenue generation and development, establishing sales processes, strategic account plans, and a playbook for market execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set targets and provide exceptional customer outcomes.
• Manage CRM-Salesforce processes in partnership with Commercial Operations, ensuring compliance and visibility.
• Mentor and guide both internal and external stakeholders, aligning their efforts with Solesis’s Mission and Vision.
• Drive accountability for annual financial performance and create a sustainable development pipeline.
• Set professional growth goals for the team that align with business objectives and lead skill development training.
• Collaborate with Marketing to define Solesis’ value proposition for design and manufacturing services, maximizing returns for customers and the company.
• Develop and implement an annual sales execution strategy.
• Work closely with Product Development, Operations, and Finance to establish suitable margins based on market insights.
• Partner with the CCO to develop metrics for the annual Sales Incentive Program.
• Coordinate with Marketing to create and support the annual industry conference and trade show schedule.
• Establish and manage the Sales team budget.
• Foster internal relationships with Operations, Quality, Finance, and Human Resources.
• Identify staffing needs, engage in selection and hiring processes, and make hiring decisions.
• Participate in the Solesis Annual Performance Review process for direct reports.
• Bachelor's degree with concentrations in Science, Biology, or a related Engineering discipline.
• At least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in business development or process/project-related engineering roles, ideally involving new technologies related to Medical Devices.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a managerial role or leading a team of direct reports.
• Experience with polymeric and/or textile materials, Medtech CDMO space, design development stage gate processes, and FDA regulatory issues.
• A demonstrable portfolio of contacts and relationships within the medical device industry, showcasing a proven track record of success in developing and closing deals.
• Proven ability to identify new business opportunities, sell new technologies, and establish research partnerships.
• Working knowledge of various medical device manufacturing techniques in cGMP, ISO 10993, or 13485 environments.
• Effective communicator capable of engaging with all levels of the audience.
