Senior Director, Clinical Software Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the software engineering division responsible for Dexcom’s Clinical Applications portfolio.

• Implement a product-focused development model with coordinated cross-functional teams dedicated to complete ownership.

• Guide engineering teams working within a Product Operating Model, ensuring full ownership and accountability for customer results.

• Promote contemporary engineering practices such as CI/CD pipelines, AI-assisted development workflows, automated testing, integrated quality engineering, and dependable software delivery at scale.

• Ensure that testing, quality, and verification considerations are integrated early in the product development lifecycle to enhance product reliability and confidence in releases.

• Collaborate with architecture and platform teams to create scalable, intelligent software solutions using modern cloud and AI-enabled technologies when appropriate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires a Bachelor’s degree along with 17+ years of industry experience.

• A degree in a technical field is necessary.

• At least 13+ years of successful management experience in the pertinent industry.

• Extensive experience leading software engineering teams that deliver mobile, cloud, and connected healthcare applications at scale.

• Strong technical expertise in modern software architecture, cloud platforms, application development, APIs, and software quality practices.

• Proven experience driving a shift towards modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated quality frameworks, and integrated product team delivery models.

• Experience in integrating AI-enabled features, intelligent tools, or data-driven automation into software products or development workflows.
