Physician Reviewer, Internal Medicine – Field Medical Director, Radiology (Part Time)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the reviewer for Physician match in Imaging cases

• Engage in discussions regarding determinations with requesting physicians or ordering providers

• Employ medical and clinical review guidelines

• Support and serve as a resource for Initial Clinical Reviewers

• Ensure that all communications are properly documented

• May provide assistance to the Senior Medical Director in research activities or inquiries pertaining to the Utilization Management process

⛳️ Requirements

• MD/DO/MBBS degree

• At least five (5) years of experience in the practice of Medicine following residency

• Preferred active clinical practice within the past 2 years

• Current, unrestricted clinical license in medicine or the required specialty in the home state

• Active Board Certification from an accredited organization

• Excellent clinical, management, communication, and organizational abilities

• Dynamic and inquisitive, with a commitment to quality and value in healthcare

• Proficiency in computer skills

• Not currently excluded or sanctioned by any state or federal health care program

• No record of significant disciplinary or legal actions from any state medical board
