This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Define and implement the organization's strategies for data integration and client data, encompassing integrations, data platforms, and reporting capabilities.
• Set key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the performance of the data platform, reporting usage, data quality, and overall business impact.
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders in Product, AI Engineering, and Client Services to ensure data capabilities align with business goals.
• Contribute to the governance of Engineering Leadership, which includes setting technical standards, architectural guidelines, and long-term strategic planning.
• Steer the technical direction regarding data architecture, integration methodologies, and platform scalability.
• Oversee the creation and implementation of scalable, dependable data integration pipelines and workflows for both client systems and internal platforms.
• Establish best practices in data engineering, covering areas such as testing, deployment, observability, and comprehensive documentation.
• Guide the implementation of frameworks for data quality, monitoring, and reliability.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Continuously assess and enhance the data technology stack to foster growth and innovation.
• Lead the strategy and execution of client-facing data products, which include dashboards, reporting layers, and integrated data experiences.
• Work alongside Product Management to incorporate reporting functionalities within main platform offerings.
• Collaborate with Product Management to ensure data capabilities are in sync with product roadmaps and client value propositions.
• Partner with AI Engineering to ensure that enterprise data facilitates the development, deployment, and utilization of AI/ML models.
• Engage closely with client-facing teams to comprehend customer requirements and deliver scalable, repeatable data solutions.
• Promote a data-driven culture throughout the organization.
• Manage the planning, prioritization, and execution of data integration and platform projects.
• Oversee budgets, vendor partnerships, and investments in data-related technologies.
• Establish procedures for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining operational data systems.
• Accelerate the delivery of reporting capabilities through standardization and the use of reusable data assets.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Over 8 years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or integration roles.
• More than 5 years of experience leading technical teams, including the management of managers.
• Extensive experience with contemporary data architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and integration frameworks.
• A proven history of delivering client-facing data solutions or data products at scale.
• Demonstrated capability to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Strong familiarity with our primary technological stack: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Apache Airflow, Docker, Python (Pandas), RDBMS (Snowflake, PostgreSQL), and NoSQL (Redis, DynamoDB).
• Significant experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT techniques, and database technologies (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).
• Experience with API design, development, and integration methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with AI/ML teams to fulfill data requirements for model development and deployment.
• A track record of successfully executing complex data integration projects that satisfy business needs.
• Experience in talent acquisition technology, HR systems, or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in data quality management and monitoring tools.
• Understanding of the complete life cycle of project/program execution following established project management methodologies.
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of talent acquisition platforms, tools, products, and other complementary technologies that support these platforms.
• Significant subject matter expertise across various workstreams (change management, risk assessment, compliance, sponsorship modeling, user acceptance testing, end-to-end testing, end-user training, communications, resistance management, launch planning, and configuration).
