Senior Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the nationwide execution, operations, and expansion of Best Buddies Life.

• Convert the strategic vision of the Vice President into scalable initiatives and quantifiable results.

• Manage daily program operations, participant experiences, partnerships, workforce development, credentialing programs, and independent living support services.

• Create operational plans, establish annual objectives, develop performance metrics, service models, engagement protocols, assessment tools, and systems for tracking outcomes.

• Supervise participant recruitment, enrollment, onboarding, retention, and success initiatives.

• Collaborate with state and local staff, the Corps team, the Best Buddies Jobs team, educational institutions, employers, and community organizations.

• Lead initiatives in workforce readiness, career exploration, credentialing, employment support, inclusive postsecondary education, lifelong learning, and independent living programs.

• Design independent living curriculum and support services that address financial literacy, transportation, housing readiness, wellness, self-determination, and daily living skills.

• Assist with contracts, partnership agreements, fundraising efforts, grants, sponsorships, donor relations, proposals, impact reporting, budgeting, and resource planning.

• Establish systems for and prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations that monitor enrollment, retention, credentials, employment outcomes, independent living milestones, and overall program impact.

• Ensure adherence to organizational standards and partnership expectations.

• Supervise staff and consultants; facilitate training, performance management, coaching, professional development, and staffing enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Special Education, Disability Studies, Social Work, Nonprofit Leadership, Public Administration, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.

• At least 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in disability services, workforce development, higher education, transition programming, nonprofit management, or related areas.

• Proven experience in managing multi-site programs and leading inclusive education, employment, and independent living initiatives for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

• Familiarity with vocational rehabilitation, Pre-ETS, supported employment, and disability service systems is preferred.

• Strong skills in project management, operational leadership, and strategic planning.

• Experience in developing and managing partnerships with educational institutions, employers, and community organizations.

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation capabilities.

• Ability to leverage data and outcome measurement to enhance program effectiveness.

• Experience overseeing credentialing, certification, or micro-credential initiatives is preferred.

• Capability to supervise professional staff, advisors, coaches, or case management teams.

• Experience in securing grants, corporate partnerships, or philanthropic support is advantageous.

• Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP), or a related credential is preferred.

• Travel is required.

• Personal cell phone use is necessary.

• Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
