📋 Description

• Lead the nationwide implementation and continuous management of all Best Buddies Life programming.

• Create operational plans, set annual goals, and establish performance metrics that align with the strategic vision of the Vice President.

• Supervise participant recruitment, enrollment, onboarding, retention, and initiatives focused on success.

• Work collaboratively with state and local Best Buddies staff to facilitate program expansion and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.

• Develop and execute a national service model that incorporates Best Buddies Corps Members as recognized Best Buddies Life Advisors.

• Establish protocols for participant engagement and set service delivery expectations for Corps Members.

• Ensure tailored support in areas such as education, employment, independent living, community engagement, and leadership/self-advocacy.

• Create frameworks for participant success planning, assessment tools, and outcome tracking systems.

• Assess program outcomes, identify training requirements, and promote ongoing improvement.

• Direct workforce readiness initiatives, career exploration, credentialing programs, and employment support services.

• Collaborate with the Best Buddies Jobs team to synchronize employment opportunities and forge employer partnerships.

• Develop inclusive postsecondary education initiatives and partnerships offering certificate programs, micro-credentials, workforce certifications, continuing education, and lifelong learning opportunities.

• Create independent living curricula, resources, and support services that encompass financial literacy, transportation, housing readiness, wellness, self-determination, and daily living skills.

• Assist with contracts, partnership agreements, and collaborative projects.

• Represent Best Buddies Life in various meetings, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.

• Partner with the Vice President and Development team on fundraising efforts, grants, sponsorships, and donor engagement.

• Aid in the preparation of proposals for funders and partners, impact reports, and presentations.

• Assist with budget formulation, resource planning, financial oversight, and opportunities for earned revenue.

• Implement systems to track enrollment, retention, credential attainment, employment outcomes, independent living milestones, and overall program impact.

• Compile reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership, funders, and stakeholders.

• Support grant reporting, outcome measurement, compliance, and partnership expectations.

• Supervise national Best Buddies Life staff and consultants.

• Lead staff training, performance management, coaching, professional development, and future staffing expansion.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Special Education, Disability Studies, Social Work, Nonprofit Leadership, Public Administration, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.

• A minimum of 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in disability services, workforce development, higher education, transition programming, nonprofit management, or related fields.

• Proven experience in managing multi-site programs and leading inclusive education, employment, and independent living initiatives for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

• Familiarity with vocational rehabilitation, Pre-ETS, supported employment, and disability service systems is preferred.

• Strong skills in project management, operational leadership, and strategic planning.

• Experience in developing and managing partnerships with educational institutions, employers, and community organizations.

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation abilities.

• Capability to use data and outcome measurements to enhance program performance.

• Experience in overseeing credentialing, certification, or micro-credential initiatives is preferred.

• Ability to supervise professional staff, advisors, coaches, or case management teams.

• Experience in securing grants, corporate partnerships, or philanthropic support is advantageous.

• Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP), or a related credential is preferred.

• Willingness to travel.

• Must utilize a personal cell phone.

• Availability to work evenings and weekends as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
