This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Generate innovative and compelling “must-have insights” content.
• Foster new insights and concepts through thought leadership initiatives.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses to uncover the root causes of client barriers or overall needs.
• Exhibit thought leadership by establishing Insights positions within a team of analysts.
• Investigate, analyze, and forecast market trends and shifts.
• Offer clients and prospects actionable recommendations aligned with their specific content areas.
• Create and present high-value presentation materials for both on-stage and off-stage Gartner events.
• Build credibility as an industry expert to effectively represent Gartner insights.
• Actively engage in innovation, ideation, and research discussions.
• Identify enhancements in the research process or develop new methodologies to assist the team and BTI in delivering exceptional service.
• Serve as a mentor and coach to support junior team members.
• Maintain a client-centric approach while actively encouraging clients to engage regularly with Gartner insights.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.
• Over 12 years of relevant field or industry experience.
• Proven experience leading strategic digital transformation initiatives in procurement.
• Extensive experience in sourcing and procurement technology implementation or administration.
• Strong knowledge of solutions from major technology providers such as Coupa, SAP Ariba, GEP, Jaggaer, and Ivalua is essential.
• Experience in developing and deploying an AI strategy for procurement is preferred.
• Required experience in piloting, implementing, or using AI within procurement.
• Ability to clearly articulate the role of procurement and sourcing technology in delivering business value.
• Experience in leading strategic transformation projects focused on digital enablement.
• Insights into which emerging technologies are most pertinent for procurement.
• Demonstrate executive presence; quickly establish credibility with executives and other stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the capability to work under tight deadlines.
• Exhibit excellence in research and writing capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside analytical and presentation abilities; capable of engaging clients effectively.
• Proficient in data analysis and synthesis; able to apply patterns and frameworks while drawing conclusions.
• Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex concepts succinctly.
• Subject matter expertise; comfortable presenting at both large and small-scale events.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Deep understanding of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area.
• Ability to work independently while being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams.
• Agile learner, skilled at navigating complex, matrixed environments.
• Effective representation of Gartner's research methodology and strategies at all levels.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable).
