Senior Digital Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Oversee and implement the design, development, and delivery of technology that enhances customer experiences.

• Create production-ready code through vision, definition, planning, execution, deployment, and maintenance.

• Collaborate with Product Management to craft outstanding customer experiences.

• Work alongside technology leadership to identify and integrate technologies and methodologies that enhance platform performance and user experience.

• Ensure consistency, reliability, supportability, and observability across services.

• Communicate effectively to unite teams and facilitate solutions to challenges.

• Evaluate product trade-offs and deliver straightforward, intuitive products.

• Build and sustain relationships with diverse teams across various organizational levels to foster trust and support.

• Exemplify and adhere to MGM's mission and values while performing additional job-related responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior hands-on software development experience in a production setting using languages such as Java or C++.

• Experience in a similar resort environment is preferred.

• Strong technical background in enterprise-level systems, distributed computing, and DevOps practices.

• Proven history of working within agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban with distributed teams.

• Extensive technical knowledge encompassing UI, services, data storage, and communication.

• Solid foundation in Computer Science principles including object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures.

• Thorough understanding of the entire software development life cycle.

• Familiarity with engineering best practices such as code reviews, comprehensive testing, build processes, and modern source control.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.

• Commitment to hospitality-focused customer service excellence.

• Intermediate skills in core office productivity software.
