Senior DevSecOps Engineer – Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage our AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes/EKS clusters, GitOps pipelines (ArgoCD/Helm), and CI/CD processes (TeamCity).

• Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code using both Terraform and AWS CDK, establishing reusable, thoroughly tested, and peer-reviewed patterns.

• Improve our security framework, focusing on elements such as least-privilege IAM, secrets management, vulnerability and patch management, supply chain dependencies (SCA), code scanning (SAST/DAST), and integrating security into the developer workflow.

• Evaluate performance and observability metrics with tools like Datadog to monitor the health of our infrastructure, identify regressions and bottlenecks, and foster enhancements.

• Lead a team of DevOps and Security engineers to prioritize, schedule, and execute DevOps and security tasks.

• Contribute to the overall technical vision and strategy for all aspects of DevOps and Security.

• Engage with and instruct fellow team members on DevOps methodologies, design principles, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Hands-on experience as a DevOps engineer for at least 5 years, with a minimum of 2 years in a team leadership role.

• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration systems.

• Profound understanding of AWS and cloud networking.

• Proven hands-on security expertise in areas like IAM/least-privilege, secrets management, vulnerability management, and security scanning (SAST/DAST/SCA).

• Significant experience utilizing Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).

• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools such as Datadog, along with a solid grasp of infrastructure and application performance metrics.

• Proficient in the Java programming language.

• Experience with the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) is a plus.
