Senior DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, implement, and oversee CI/CD workflows and pipelines.

• Assist development teams with the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of web applications.

• Strategize, develop, and implement infrastructure-as-code utilizing Terraform and Ansible.

• Employ Ansible for managing server configurations and tracking changes.

• Automate code deployments, vulnerability assessments, and AWS infrastructure setup using GitLab.

• Utilize AI-driven coding workflows with GitLab Duo.

• Integrate and manage core AI models with AWS Bedrock while maintaining data privacy and compliance.

• Establish and oversee cloud security controls and policies.

• Assist with application migration initiatives.

• Address incidents and manage alerts.

• Diagnose and resolve issues in both development and production environments.

• Document processes, configurations, and changes within systems.

• Mitigate performance bottlenecks in infrastructure and applications.

• Function in Agile settings using Jira and Confluence.

• Engage in scrum ceremonies and collaborate with technical leaders, business stakeholders, customers, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Support critical missions for the U.S. Navy and contribute to the technical strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in DevOps, focusing on planning, building, and supporting AWS Cloud and DevSecOps environments.

• A Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline is required.

• An active Secret security clearance is preferred; candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

• U.S. citizenship is necessary for eligibility to acquire the security clearance.

• Candidates must reside within the continental United States.

• Proficiency in designing, building, and deploying within AWS Cloud Services, including EKS, EC2, and/or Lambda.

• Experience in deploying and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code.

• Extensive knowledge of CI/CD frameworks and containerized pipelines, including orchestration with Terraform, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Ansible, Docker, and Jenkins.

• Familiarity or hands-on experience with GitLab Duo, GitHub Copilot, and AWS Bedrock.

• Proven experience with GitLab and/or GitHub Actions for version control, source code management, and workflow automation.

• Experience with secure-by-design principles and zero-trust architecture.

• Extensive background in DevSecOps encompassing software builds, testing, deployments, and security assessments.

• Experience with AWS Kinesis.

• Familiarity with CloudWatch and/or Splunk.

• Experience with SonarQube.

• Proven experience conducting vulnerability scans.

• Proficient in Linux and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Strong experience with Jira and Confluence in Agile settings.

• Understanding of security best practices and the implementation of security measures in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with cross-functional teams.
