Senior DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, maintain, and support PACER account registration and management, authentication, billing, and Case Locator systems.

• Develop, maintain, and support internal PACER and court access reporting systems.

• Ensure compliance with PCI and other security standards through secure development practices.

• Conduct requirements gathering, design, analysis, development, testing, deployment, support, and maintenance throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Build and maintain enterprise-level software utilizing C, Java, JSF, PrimeFaces, JavaScript, CSS, and/or Linux shell.

• Develop secure web services using SOAP, REST, WSDL, XSD, XML, and/or JSON.

• Independently and collaboratively design and create efficient, scalable, and resilient software solutions.

• Generate and document use cases, test cases, and system validation results.

• Engage in Agile planning, retrospectives, demos, and stand-ups.

• Review and validate requirements, system descriptions, and design artifacts; prepare documentation packages.

• Analyze project documentation and modification requests for impact and feasibility.

• Define, document, and maintain system and software architectures that align with enterprise standards.

• Execute secure engineering practices, vulnerability remediation, ATO, PCI, and FISMA compliance activities.

• Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, system tuning, and COOP/DR design and testing.

• Oversee software configurations, version control, source code repositories, and change control.

• Provide knowledge transfer, training, and documentation for Technical Points of Contact.

• Assess and recommend emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance efficiency and minimize technical debt.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in IT system engineering, systems development, coding, and programming.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Extensive knowledge of security compliance and security controls.

• Proficient in C, Java, JSF, Tomcat, PrimeFaces, JavaScript, CSS, and/or Linux shell.

• Strong experience in implementing and supporting end-to-end automated DevSecOps pipelines and processes.

• Strong experience with RedHat Linux.

• Significant experience with Cloud APIs and Cloud technologies, including some programming experience.

• Proven experience providing engineering support for software applications throughout the full DevOps pipeline.

• Ability to adapt to varying enterprise security requirements.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bash, Subversion, and JetBrains Tool Suite.

• Experience in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines for a diverse range of applications.

• Proven experience in implementing DevSecOps utilizing Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.

• Experience in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications.

• Working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools and methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Working knowledge of the software build process.

• Strong security-first mindset.

• In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies.

• Excellent presentation and communication abilities.

• Capability to collaborate with high-level customer stakeholders and build strong customer relationships.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
