Senior DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain PACER account registration and management, authentication, billing, and Case Locator products.

• Create, support, and uphold internal PACER account, help desk, and court access reporting systems.

• Ensure compliance with PCI and other security standards through secure development methodologies.

• Collect requirements; design, analyze, develop, test, deploy, support, and maintain systems throughout the SDLC.

• Develop enterprise-level software utilizing C, Java, JSF, PrimeFaces, JavaScript, CSS, and/or Linux shell.

• Build secure web services using SOAP, REST, WSDL, XSD, XML, and/or JSON.

• Independently and collaboratively design and create efficient, scalable, and resilient software solutions.

• Document and create use cases, test cases, and system validation results.

• Engage in Agile planning, retrospectives, demonstrations, and stand-ups.

• Review and validate requirements, system descriptions, and design artifacts; prepare comprehensive documentation packages.

• Analyze project documentation and modification requests for impacts and feasibility.

• Define, document, and sustain system and software architectures in alignment with enterprise standards.

• Execute secure engineering, vulnerability remediation, ATO, PCI, and FISMA compliance tasks.

• Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, and system tuning activities.

• Design and test continuity of operations and disaster recovery strategies.

• Oversee software configurations, version control, source repositories, and change management.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer, training, and documentation for Technical Points of Contact.

• Assess and recommend emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT system engineering, systems development, coding, and programming.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Extensive knowledge of security compliance and security controls.

• Proficient in C, Java, JSF, Tomcat, PrimeFaces, JavaScript, CSS, and/or Linux shell.

• Significant experience in implementing and supporting end-to-end automated DevSecOps pipelines and processes.

• Strong familiarity with RedHat Linux.

• Robust experience with Cloud APIs and Cloud technologies, including relevant programming experience.

• Proven track record of providing engineering support for software applications across the entire DevOps pipeline.

• Ability to adapt to varying enterprise security requirements.

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bash, Subversion, and JetBrains Tool Suite.

• Proficient in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines for a diverse range of applications.

• Experience in implementing DevSecOps using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.

• Background in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications.

• Working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools, and methodologies, as well as CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with software build processes.

• Strong security-first mindset.

• In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies.

• Excellent presentation and communication abilities.

• Consultant mindset with capability to collaborate with high-level customer stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Capacity to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

• Preferred: Proficiency in Perl.

• No security clearance is currently necessary.
