Senior DevOps, Platform Engineer, SRE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Co-responsibility for system availability: You actively contribute to the availability, reliability, and efficiency of our complex system architecture, which includes approximately 70 servers at Hetzner.

• Maintenance and automation: You support the maintenance and automation of our existing infrastructure, which is based on technologies such as Ubuntu, Percona MySQL Cluster, MinIO, Elasticsearch, Redis, NGINX, HAProxy, TiDB, Clickhouse, and Kubernetes.

• Monitoring and analysis: You enhance our monitoring strategies and conduct comprehensive error analyses.

• High availability: You are prepared to be on-call during exceptional circumstances, including nights, to ensure our systems operate smoothly.

• Software development: Several years of experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Rust, Java, Go, Typescript) is required.

• Several years of experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Rust, Java, Go, Typescript) is required.

• Strong understanding of system automation and IT security.

• Practical experience with some of the following systems: MySQL, TiDB, Kubernetes, MinIO, and Elasticsearch.

• You communicate fluently in German and have good English skills.

• Strong analytical skills, combined with excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Experience in contributing to open-source technologies would be desirable.
