
Senior DevOps Engineer – Voice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Work collaboratively with other DevOps engineers and the development team to implement and sustain application infrastructure.
• Aid in the creation and maintenance of tools that enhance the deployment and upkeep of our products.
• Utilize GitHub, Jenkins, and Chef to manage applications from development to production environments.
• Provide support for both internal and external applications, which includes managing deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting issues.
• Construct and oversee automation pipelines for the deployment and maintenance of applications.
• Participate in the daily management of Linux servers through the command line interface.
• Develop monitoring dashboards and alerts in Grafana using Prometheus and Alertmanager.
• Clearly and concisely document processes and best practices.
• Take part in the on-call rotation for incident resolution.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in DevOps Engineering or a similar field.
• A solid understanding of the Linux operating system and proficiency in command line operations.
• Experience with Chef or similar configuration management tools to automate server and application creation and maintenance.
• Capability to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
• Strong grasp of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/UDP, firewalls, and load balancers.
• An eagerness to engage with both complex systems and routine tasks to ensure smooth operations.
• A basic understanding of security best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, Python, or Go.
• **Nice to Have**:
• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm templating.
• Familiarity with real-time voice/video protocols like SIP and RTP.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, especially AWS.
• Prior experience with tools such as Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, MySQL, and Ansible.
• Experience collaborating with globally distributed and remote teams.
